Comes complete with fuzzy dice. Can anybody ID this car?

It's not a Yaris.

I was going to say the Muff Diver from Up in Smoke, but Cheech was driving a Chevy.

Well, that rules out that guess. Thanks. Narrowing it down.

Plymouth Fury?
Good car for New Mexico.

Plymouth was my guess, but there aren't enough letters across the back (only 6) to spell Plymouth . Unless one fell off.

59 Pontiac Catalina.

Somebody else ID'd it as a '59 Laurentian. Is that the Canadian model name for the Catalina?

59 Pontiac Catalina
Enhancing

Sure enough. I needed more enhancement. Somebody else ID'd it as a Laurentian. Is that the Canadian version of the Catalina?

In Canada and Australia.
This is definitely a Catalina though, you can see the start of the C on the right fin.
I actually was able to "enhance" the PONTIAC across the back some, the Catalina was too far lost in the image.

This was taken two years ago with my old 18-270mm lens. If I had shot it with my newer telezoom, you could have seen the individual rust holes. I can go back to the original full size shot and see what there is to see. It was easier to ask the experts, though!

Nah I saw plenty with my "enhance"
I was guessing Pontiac as soon as I saw it, just had to clarify a year. 59 is a weird year to identify across all the American brands. It's halfway bubble top/fins and halfway straight edged early 60s styles.

I wasn't suggestion that you needed any more info, but that I might have looked more closely myself. As I said, it's just easier to save time and ask the experts.

Hey, my bro is in Albq!

This was taken somewhere between the TX border and Carlsbad on US 285. I just don't remember exactly where. Drove through Albuquerque on the same trip. Nice place. Didn't stop, though.
